SmartVel is a simple, non-invasive, and practical calving detection system designed to support livestock farmers in their daily work. Using a sensor easily attached to the cow's tail, SmartVel analyzes typical pre-calving behaviors—such as contractions, signs of colic, and rising or lying down—and issues an alert at the very first signs of labor. Farmers are notified via SMS or voice call, allowing them to intervene at the right moment, day or night.
